nuts to strap a bomb on and take out a group of people.

Bombers come from a different society with different norms. Many are taught, and actually believe, that they will be rewarded in the afterlife for such actions and their families are treated as celebs.

In that situation why would it be crazy. Is it crazy when a solder jumps on a live grenade to protect his squad mates? Is it crazy to charge into gunfire and artillery to take an enemy position? Crazy is based upon group norms, in very particular groups none of these would be crazy.
