This cosmic battle b/t Good and Evil is old biblical idea. Just checking to see if anyone would believe that human beings are but pawns in and subject to influences in this battle. The Islamic view of Jihad to me makes a great deal of sense that we have internal battles to rise and aspire as Lincoln said to out better angels and fall prey to our own more base instincts or urges. This struggle is internal to each of us - rather than our being subject to being weak pawns in some cosmic battle. Frankly, I do not believe in the existence of some Evil Force.
