visit last year where we had a 2 hour meeting/tour with an assistant dean in the School of Architecture.
The dean not only looked over her existing transcript but also made recommendations for what classes she should take to insure the maximum transfer credit and so she wouldn't take a class she would duplicate at KSU.
And she got assigned a person responsible for transfers who has kept in touch to the point of letting her know when she was going to be on the juco campus and to be sure to visit. Just a whole lot of little things which have added up to some really positive experiences.
Getting ready to move into newly remodeled space and the studio is shared by ALL students with the student workspaces intermingled with a mix of ALL students--including those in their last year mixed together. The students insisted on it because it has been part of their old studio workspace and allows for collaboration and peer tutoring/mentoring. Since my wife had her career in developing collaborative learning for 2-year colleges, she was blown away the students were able to recognize the importance of having mixed class level students sharing the same studio space.
