about that - that the mission carried out by band of reactive terrorists would be considered "more wrong" than the carefully calibrated and considered policy that condones the infliction of pain and yes torture on a captive human being by a nation holding itself up a moral leader in the world.

Hypocrisy enters the picture at the very least.

I don't know that you can put any type of moral equivalency on the two events though one IS/WAS a considered policy to be done in the shadows and the other a tactic to achieve a series of stated goals.
