If he's truly confused, that's understandable. Not actually talking to him makes everything just speculation of course. But it's really hard to tell if he's excited about this stuff and if he's really agonizing over the decision or if he's just kind of uninterested and therefore wishy-washy.

Lately my read has been the latter. But that is, as I said, really just kind of speculation.
