point when you claim it is settled.

No scientist would ever claim anything is settled, only politicians use that term.

One hundred years ago we though we knew everything there was to know about kinematics and Einstein completely changed that.

When you claim something is settled there can be no new discourse and without that there will never be any new investigation. Science stagnates.

When you say climate science is settled you are claiming that we know everything there is to know about the subject. Are you really willing to make that statement?
