But yes, wages have been going down for blue collar work for years.
We have been waging open class warfare in this country since 1980. The wealthy are winning.
You guys like partisanship so I will clue you into the reality. We don't have a two party system in this country. We have one party with two factions. But are owned by the same people.
The republicans are brought in to accelerate class warfare periodically. Once the pain builds up to a level that threatens social cohesion, the democrats are brought in to slow down the class warfare. Once dissent has been tamped down, the pubs are brought back in to advance the class warfare goals of the wealthy.
The significance of Trump is that we are entering into an period of accelerated class warfare, characterized by tax cuts for the wealthy and cuts in social spending & financial regulation.
Both understand that the only thing that holds the whole thing together is neocolonialism, which provides booty. About 10 percent of that booty is used to buy off the American public. The average person sells out their morality pretty dam cheap.
But make no mistake. Both parties work for the same people. Politics is an illusion. Don't be fooled by the tactics.
