His stance on NATO involved them not paying their dues and not taking seriously threats such as terrorism. They have amended those stances so Trumps position towards them changed. I see that as success, but a broken promise.

It would be foolish to get countries/orginzations to improve in ways that benefit us but not to recognize their efforts.
