the irony is that I thought HRC would win bc of the cluelessness of her opponent and it turned out that Don won largely b/c people were so sick of what you reference. I think that the nation began to fall after Reagan. I didn't really like the guy, but he sure lifted folks up. Then again, ingraining tax cuts as economic policy has had very long term and very deleterious effect.

You are wrong about Obama. People were not sick of the "likes of" him. He went out with super high approvals. History will also treat him well. He is a good guy who for the most part did what he thought was best for the nation.
