is there a supposition that this is somehow going to "send a message to North Korea" and convince a leader that acts utterly irrational (in our view) to take notice and begin acting rationally? I mean, I guess it's possible. Or, it's possible that the folks in China that North Korea relies upon for economic and humanitarian support reel him in rather than risk a regional conflict on their doorstep, but, to the first point - we have "warned" North Korea any number of times. They are fully aware of our military might, yet persist. Why do folks believe that this will be any different?
