The generation that pulled together to fight WWII also came home and came together for the GI Bill and infrastructure spending and sending a man to the moon and it was one for all and all for one.

THEIR kids (I am one) turned out to be mostly spoiled, narscistic and destructive. The ME generation. They saying that one is a chip off the old block - references grand parents. Folks have more in common with their grandparents and we will see that again. Kids today don't so much even see race or gender. That is pretty huge and just the starting block.
