"getting lib judges in". It is about fundamental principles of how our govt best operates.
With a nation as divided as we are now - split in some variation of 50/50, a state that will likely remain for some time - we don't really want one of the sides, as it were, the power with a simple one vote edge to implement policies or seat judges to the Supreme Court. What we need is moderation - and such a low bar as a one vote edge does not lead to moderation.
