Politically - it is amateur hour to resist the Gorsuch nomination. For one, GOP is dead set on getting him in. OK, let him in. Then IF there is another seat in the next 18 months - you fight THAT one and then lay the nuke option on the GOP close to the midterms. USE what little you have. Right now, it does nothing but bury you.
