Here is some of what it has done
1. Led the fight against AIDS.
The foundation's efforts in the fight against the spread of HIV/AIDS goes all the way back to 2002, with the inception of the Clinton Health Access Initiative. Pharma d-bag Martin Shkreli notwithstanding, the cost of anti-retroviral drugs 14 years ago was way more expensive than it is now. Some African nations were paying upwards of $1,000 for each AIDS patient. The idea behind the Clinton Health Access Initiative was to lower costs by instituting buying in bulk.
2. Helped preserve the wild elephant population.
While the Trump sons senselessly kill wild animals for trophies, Chelsea and Hillary Clinton have been working to stop the practice of elephant poaching. The Guardian reports that Hillary and Chelsea first learned about the horrible practice of elephant poaching during a visit to Africa in 1997. Having such high-profile advocates like the Clintons has helped boost the fight against the illegal wildlife trade. According to the Guardian, 95 African elephants are killed every day for their ivory, which is high demand in Asian countries to make trinkets. The Clintons have pledged $80 million to help stop illegal poaching, working with conservation groups to create new technology that helps protect elephants from poachers.
3) One major component of the Clinton Foundation was working in conjunction with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to ensure that women and young girls in developing countries have better access to healthcare. Through No Ceilings: The Full Participation Project, Hillary vowed to bring down mortality and malnutrition rates. Women in the countries participating in the program are now living longer than ever. According to the NoCeilings report, women’s life expectancy at birth has risen from an average of 69 years in 1995 to 73 years in 2012.#)
