If there are quality issues with the products our profligate spending brings in - then we need to hold the corporations responsible for such shortcomings accountable.

But that won't happen in our Corporatocracy. So much for that.

Spend spend, spend that is what it is all about. Recall the FREAK-OUT in the Defense industry when Poppy Bush had the audacity to mention a "peace dividend" resulting from the end of the cold war. And nearly before you knew it we had a new enemy called TERRORISM.
