The election results would not likely have changed.
If you stopped reading there, then you have missed the point. Its about one party working with a foreign power to try to influence the election. Whether or not it succeeded is not the point. IF TRUE, and there is a lot of smoke, then this will be the biggest story in the history of American politics.
As someone below said, just because someone shot at you and missed doesnt mean its ok.
