and it is my opinion that it was all for show. They did it to make people think they really wanted to repeal it, when in fact, they have no interest in doing so - as you rightly have pointed out that there has been no repeal bill since.

I understand that you see them as cowards. It's just that I don't think they were ever serious in the first place.
