Our biggest risk is the difference between the expected salary for his position and his actual salary, but only for a very short period in time.
In the larger scheme of things, the risk/reward is an easy assessment. A minor risk with a potential major program return. Unless you get off on being negative and pontificating about it with no real decision making, it's a no brainer. The loss in hiring KA was much worse and for far longer.
Fortunately, the adults are now in control. Don't you worry your little head.
