so they estimate the alien population to be 25 million
55,000 in federal prisons
200,000 in local prisons
32% due to immigration and traffic citations (not really a problem)
17% due to drugs (of which many argue should be taken away..not necessarily violent)
So you have about 1% of the alien population in jail
Half of the arrests are due to something other than immigration, traffic violations or drugs.
Yet you see them as a huge violent population that desires to keep them all out because of that, when the vast majority of them are just hear to work and make money
