The very first thought I had on 911

was what in the world had we done to impel some others to do that?
I have found from the start the US reaction to 911 to be way over the top. It did get us in two wars - yippee - we are mostly still not out of yet fer instance.
My grandparents and great grandparents were immigrants. I LIKE immigrants. Immigrants have made this country great. Our immigration laws have not kept up with the times. That is not the fault of the immigrant.
There has been - and evidenced on this board - a mindset in the US that all Jihadists want nothing more than to dedicate their lives to kill Americans. THAT is our ego. THAT is what I meant. Folks everywhere in the world try to survive. And where these folks are coming from survival is hard. Killing Americans is pretty far down on their To-Do List.
