It appears Barnett could be a legitimate SEC player but he really needs to be coached up. Flat out disappears for long segments and seems disinterested. Has no "star power."

Phillips, I don't know about. He is too reckless and out of control to be a good point guard. Commits more bad fouls than anyone I have ever seen at Mizzou. He seems to be a good leader vocally but not able to do it on the court. Again, this could be coaching.

Puryear is simply a role player. Totally left-handed. Limited physically. He was better than advertised as a freshman, maybe out of necessity, but has not developed. Just looking at him, you can tell he was a guy who matured early, but has not really developed as a player, and likely has hit his ceiling.

Nikko could turn out to be a guy like Rosburg, or better. I have not completely given up on him. He is incredibly unathletic and stiff, but gets himself into good position often and completes some plays at the rim. He is awful defensively.

Walton is just such a shame. The worst shooter as a shooting guard we have ever had. Has never had any coaching at all on his shooting form and rhythm. Probably too late for that now. He basically has to play as a 6-3 small forward.

Frankie Hughes has some talent, I think, but had no deveopled role at all this year, He was simply given unfettered opportunity to fail. I suspect he will transfer. Seems like an attitude problem and a drama queen. Might be a nice player on a well-coached team with some structure.

Geist was better than I thought he'd be but that was also only out of necessity, Any team that has a guy like him starting at point guard in the SEC is doomed. He is a mid-major player, low-major starter. Gets lots of technical fouls when we are getting beat, though.

CVL is a NAIA player, maybe Division II, Mitchell Smith is a project. The Kemp guy will surely be gone. If the new coach can actually develop players, we can move forward with this roster, but at least a partial overhaul seems necessary to compete.
