SEC WBB standings after Thursday night...

13-2 Miss State
11-4 Kentucky
10-5 Missouri
9-6 TAMU
9-6 Tennessee
Final games on Sunday for these teams are:
Kentucky @ South Carolina
Tennessee @ Miss State
TAMU @ Ole Miss
Missouri @ Alabama
Kentucky won't beat SC on the road, and will finish 11-5, but still clinch either 3rd or 4th place in the conference and the double bye into the quarterfinals. TAMU will beat Ole Miss, and will finish 10-6. Tennessee, who the heck knows what they will do. They are stumbling badly down the stretch, and barely stayed alive for a top 4 conference finish by barely beating a mediocre Florida team last night 74-70 at home. But they won at South Carolina and have 2 other top 10 wins over Notre Dame and Stanford. It would not shock me to see them win at Miss State, or to see them lose badly. They are that unpredictable. But really, really talented. If they win they will also finish 10-6.
So here are the possible scenarios.
If Mizzou wins at Alabama, we finish at 11-5, and clinch either 3rd or 4th place and a double bye to the quarterfinals, regardless of what the other 3 teams do. Have no idea who wins the tiebreaker for 3rd place in the SEC if UK loses and we tie with them, since we split with them in the regular season. And it really doesn't matter. Kentucky, Mizzou, TAMU, and Tennessee are going to be playing off against each other in two of the quarterfinals for the right to take on SC and MSU in the semifinals. These 4 teams are so close it's a coin flip who would win. We match up worst against UT I think; we barely beat TAMU in overtime on our home court, and we split wirh Kentucky.
If we lose at Alabama, and TAMU wins at Ole Miss, we finish at 10-6, and will tie with TAMU for 4th, and possibly land in a 3 way tie with TAMU and Tennessee, if UT upsets Miss State.
If we lose at Alabama and TAMU loses at Ole Miss and UT wins, we tie with Tennessee and they get 4th place and we get 5th.
We win the tiebreaker alone with TAMU. We lose it alone with Tennessee. Beat Alabama and none of that matters.
