Lack of institutional control is not punished like it should be. This might be the worst cheating Ive seen in my lifetime. They couldnt sell their souls for a win under Houston Nutt, even while signing classes with 38 kids in them. Everyone in the AD was involved or complicit somehow, from the AD to the S&C coach.
I have never seen a case more deserving of the death penalty; I was not aware at the time for SMU. And Ole Miss thinks that 11 scholly's and a 1-year bowl ban is good enough?! Thats a laughable response to coaches and AD paying kids, illegally recruiting, and whatever else the 21 allegations are -- which, by the way, doesnt even include Leremy Tun$il's admission that he was paid. I would hope that investigation is still ongoing and the hammer will fall even harder.
Remember when everyone defended Hugh Freeze when he had the #3 recruiting class or whatever it was? When most people said it was impossible to do that? Yeah. Turns out they were right. If that doesnt make you feel dumb, then nothing will.
