I will start a new thread above to show that I do express OUTRAGE over somethings Barry did - as for the overwhelming support - that was mostly an issue of context involving the 2 wk Iraq war under Poppy and the national feel that SOMETHING SHOULD BE DONE after 9/11.
Iraq and Afghan wars had nothing to do with Bill Clinton other than perhaps ObL's consideration that he wait for someone more likely to over-react to an attack like a 911 than Bubba might have done. And he got it with Bush. The goal of 911 was to get us out of the middle east long term by getting us in deeply short-term.
The Iraq War was unnecessary and illegal. You just can't invade any old country you want to b/c you can if they have not attacked you first.
