An 8-9 seed for an SEC team guarantees a 2nd round game with a Connecticut or Baylor. A 7 seed, where Mizzou was projected a week ago before beating Florida on the road and SC at home, gives you a #2 seed in the second game. A 6 seed is a perfect position to make a run from, and Mizzou has played their way into that position now.
