Lovie Smith's deal is 6 years, $21 million with a salary pool for assistants of $4 million a year. Much of his contract is backloaded since he's still being paid by Tampa Bay.

Illinois's biggest donor, Shahid Khan, is worth $7.5 billion.

Not saying Whitman will pay over $4mil a yr for a coach, but it wouldn't surprise me if he got the right guy. I really am not sure who he'll hire.
