Anyone can get off to a bad start. But in the games I saw Nash play last weekend she looked kind of overwhelmed at the plate. Hope she works her way out of it but not sure how she does that while sitting on the bench like today. Maybe it was a message from EE.
As for Rathburn, yes, she has an unorthodox swing, to say the least. I'm almost amazed that EE, a great technical hitting coach, hasn't been able to change it, but I expect at some point he gave up and just let her swing any way she wants, because she has put up monster numbers the last few years. She will have some bad at bats when she looks pretty bad flailing away with that loopy swing. But when she connects she hits it a ton.
