allowed the south to secede after they fired upon and captured ft sumpter in south carolina.
We should have allowed slavery to continue to eventually collapse under its own weight. A few more decades or generations of slavery, beatings and lynchings were of no concern of ours. No sense fighting about it.
I think that position is disgusting and immoral.
Our nation was and remains worth preserving. Slavery had gone on quite long enough, thank you.
How different would our nation and therefor the world be today if we had allowed secession?
Fourteen states joined the union after the war ended. How would that have worked if the south were allowed to leave? Would europe have gotten adventurous in north america again?
Your position if i understand correctly is an abomination.
