most refugees (from countries like Vietnam, the Korean peninsula, Europe, etc) not only wanted to come to America but were excited to assimilate into the American culture.
Many people from the Mideast have zero desire to assimilate into Western culture. They want to escape the shiithole they once called home, but they want to recreate that shiithole in whatever nation grants them asylum. Many truly refuse to assimilate.
And it only takes a few bad apples to cause mass human carnage as we've seen in Europe.
If we're being honest, perhaps the world should admit that some cultures are incompatible with different cultures. I don't think that's racist. I think that's simply reality.
