That is true. I am not sure how we can truly have a strong "border" security. I think the goal is to reduce the desire for these people to want to come here. If you do that, fewer will come here.

The three biggest reasons people come here (IMO) are in order of importance:

1. The opportunities are better here than home, and we have people here (employers) willing to hire them
2. They are coming here to survive (free stuff, health, education, etc.)
3. They are coming here to harm us.

Devise policies to reduce/eliminate the main reasons they come here, and they will (as Trump put it) self emigrate.
