I am operating under the assumption that Mexico's price is artificially high. If Trump's stated goal is to increase US production, he will continue to raise tarrifs to the point where US production will be able to "compete". I think he should work internally on improving the competitiveness of our companies where we can compete through corp tax reform and reasonable regulation reforms that make our companies less competitive, and then invest in areas where we are very competitive today (agriculture, large construction (CAT and Boeing like).
