abandon the program under that scenario. We can endure 3 years, although it may be an insurmountable task to try and recover from. But prolonging it more than that and I think 99.9% of MU fans will look at the program the way ku fans see their football program. No reason to take it seriously if they maintain the clear message that MU not longer intends to compete in men's basketball. No one will care anymore at that point.
