NOT a democracy. An actual democracy could possibly be the absolute worst form of government.

Here is a quick civics lesson for you. Each state gets a number of electors equal to their number of legislators in the house and senate. Each state is then free to choose how to divvy up those electoral votes.

This is a compromise to keep the larger states from dominating the executive branch. It is an elegant system that shows amazing forethought. I for one have no desire to see California, NY and a couple other states determine my president every four years.

Get over it cupcake.
