Devine won at Michigan at Nebraska, at Norman . . .all against HOF coaches (Bo, Devaney, Wilkinson).
He would have beaten Paterno too had PSU not cheated (I do believe the spying rumors)
He creamed Bear Bryant in the 1968 Gator Bowl.
He is the last coach to win at Norman.
He did not shy away from scheduling tough opponents.
In spite of that scheduling, he had ONE losing season, his last. A year in which the Tigers were decimated by injuries.
As Sarazen says, it's not even close.
