While the level of play has been extremely frustrating, most especially the regularly occurring bonehead turnovers, the team does seem to make the effort most of the time, even if it's doing the wrong thing.
There doesn't seem to be any academic misfits, nor guys getting into trouble outside of school. That may not be important to some, but in the long run, it will pay dividends.
It's hard to tell how things will end because we don't know if Coach Anderson will stay on or go, but the guys here are not troublemakers, and will give the effort necessary should a new coach come in.
Frankie Hughes made a solid contribution off the bench last night off the top of my head I think it's been a while since that happened. Good for him, he will keep working, and improve. Phillips is playing much better off the bench. Geist is a poor defender overall, slow to move to defend while people blow past him, but makes the occasional effort play that has him in the starting lineup. Woods has gotten much better at the line this year. Inconsistency is the biggest problem. They need to all play well every game.
It was a total mess across the board when Anderson took over, on the court, in the classroom, and in their personal lives. It seems like it's pretty much limited to the court now. It sucks that Jackson left, but I take him at his word until proven (not speculated) otherwise.
