The NCAA requires entering frosh to meet certain standards in order to receive financial aid and be eligible to play. Those are essentially (1) have taken the core curriculum courses in high school, (2) having achieved a minimum gpa in the core curriculum courses taken in high school and (3) a minimum standardized test score.
The NCAA requirements are less than the "published" admission standards for virtually every Power Five school. However, virtually every Power Five school admits any recruit who meets the NCAA standards. The exceptions are a handful of schools such as Stanford and Notre Dame. Every school on Thomas' list admits any recruit who meets the NCAA minimums. Mizzou admits every recruit who meets the NCAA minimums.
