Each are god-parents to eachother's kids. Porter Sr. turned down job offers from Romar previously to stay in Columbia.

Porter Sr. is more than qualified to be a college basketball coach having played at the D1 level and overseas and coaching at the college level for over 10+ years.

The fact he has 8 sons and daughters that will all be high Division 1 players only makes him more attractive as a coach.

I still can't believe that MU let that slip away.
