is that he is a dishonest hack for writing the story the way he did and making it seem like Mayes just hauled off and punched the guy for no reason whatsoever. He had to know both sides, and chose not to even mention that the Buffalo wrestler was choking Mayes with his own headgear.
And I agree that refs shouldn't be allowed to modify rules at their own discretion. There was every reason to disqualify Mayes. But he chose not to. We got a break there.
But the guy who wrote the article is still a dishonest hack.
