What has the NCAA ever done with regard to academic fraud?

Look at the other schools punished
North Carolina - nothing yet
Notre Dame - vacated wins
Memphis - vacated wins & probation
Florida State - vacated wins, probation, 1 scholarship penalty
The only time I can think of the NCAA really dropping the hammer for academic allegations was New Mexico & Lobogate in the 80's. That involved forged transcripts and paying off JUCOs to pass kids. In that case UNM got a three year post-season ban and probation.
Are vacated wins and probation really going to be a deterrent in landing a coach better than KA?
