Mizzou isn't even the first SEC school to recently hire a "rookie" to coach.

Mississippi St, Vandy, Florida when they hired Muschamp, Georgia, Kentucky.

Heck, Gus Malzahn and Hugh Freeze only coached for one year each at Arkansas St before they moved into the SEC.
