It implausibly stupid that MU would have even made a hire of this magnitude, but to let it crater our program for 3 seasons and allow the apathy to reach these kind of levels is the only tangible thing we have to observe.

There is no reason to believe MU cares about men's basketball anymore, other than it being very difficult outside of gross incompetence for MU to not field a nationally competitive program. Its all hope at this point.
