Against LSU, I think it was sloppy play by Geist, not moving to the inbounds pass 2xs which immediately soured the effort. Careless lazy effort. Bad enough the first time, but then to repeat it within seconds was just horrible. Had he been careful, we could have increased the lead, instead of blowing it, and it could have played out very differently. But it was that here we go again thing.
Today, Geist with mental failure grabbing the ball after the horn and waking up Georgia. No excuse for that. 5 fouls in the first 3 minutes after half. What does that have to do with coaching? It has to do with the players. He called the time out early. The continued to play poorly. They would get a lead and relax, and fall behind. Mentally weak play by our guys. This is the hallmark of young teams. Calipari said in an interview aired today that his biggest challenge with his team has been discipline. I don't think that's limited to elite teams.
