I have no problem with single payer at the local level.

There is no constitutional basis for the fed to be involved in health care. But I f locals at the state or municipal level feel that it is needed there is nothing stopping them from creating a single payer system for their people. Outside of possibly NY or LA I cannot see a city having the resources to do it though.
