you are a fool. Thailand does a a far better job at a fraction of the of the cost.
Canadians do just fine on darn near all the health care needs you might have. As you get older and more exotic troubles arise, seek out niche insurance to cover it. This is not difficult.
LOOK for one moment at the premiums many folks pay for insurance. It could EASILY be covered by small increases in taxes.
We don't have any proposed single payer in the US that I have heard of. The Insurance industry threatened the Hill that if a MENTION of a "public option" were made during the HC Debates seven years ago, they would be thrown out of work on their assses. In the Spring it was on the table, suddenly by Summer and Fall it was gone. Huh.
