This team still stinks, but there were definitely positives last night. Maybe I just have no expectations because we've been so awful, but there were good changes:
1) That might have been our best half of basketball of the season.
2) CVL got buried.
3) Barnett is looking ok.
4) KJ got the start and seemed better mentally.
5) Geist is attempting to take advantage of his opportunity. I'm starting to come around on Geist as a roster guy long term - he's not a starter in the SEC but he does bring a spark (even if he is a bit of a disaster defensively). He doesn't turn the ball over, which is a welcome change.
6) Phillips was better last night too.
Our on ball guard defending - KJ, TP, Geist and Frankie - might be the worst we've ever had.
