they make the beginning of an argument that you CAN build a competitive team in a short period of time on jucos and transfers -- at least guys who have played a year at some college level understand how hard you have to play against other college players that are literally fighting for what they consider their jobs.
And that's what the next guy is going to have to do. Point is this doesn't have to be a 3-year rebuild process. The right coach can get MU back to .500 in year 2 and competing for a NCAA bid in year 3 and a seed in year 4.
