He broke the law by over staying a tourist Visa. What should be the repercussions for this action?

As it is he is holding down a job that an unemployed US citizen could have, possible taking student loans that could go to other US citizens, and he is delaying the Imigration of someone that is trying to do so lawfully.

But hey, since he is working, and trying to make himself better all is good.
