I will answer your question as easily as I can. The Middle East is very complicated and both sides are guilty of miscalculations. Are their really bad guys or good guys? The League of Nations and the British made decisions in 1922 that created a few problems. creating a Jewish homeland just west of the Jordan, A lot of Jews wanted it all. After WW11 you know what happened. and it has been that way ever since. Religion plays a big part in this for some Jews and most Muslims. They are Historical religions and the land is very important to them. Neither side will ever be totally happy. Keep in mind that everyone had to vote for Israel to become a nation and they have violated some of those agreements. Started a few Wars I might add. The United Nations helped create Israel and should help police them. These on the West Bank settlements have been violations of several UN resolutions including 242 and 446. The Israelis have also not withdrawn completely out of Lebanon another UN resolution A very water rich area that where a Shia Majority live this created Hezbollah A group that is called the most formidable Guerrilla warfare group in the world. a lot of Israeli soldiers have died as well as dozens of civilians. the Israeli government doesn't care. This land was never part of the Davidic kingdom so they have no biblical claims to it and the ignorant Christians clapped and cheered when Israel went to war with Hezbollah and Israel was damned on the ground by less than 2000 Shia boys.
