Don't try to put words in my mouth - "society that devalues life to the point murder is a way of life".
I am not a "leftist" either friend. I am a relatively normal, conservative guy who believes in progressive tax policy and aggressive regulation of industries that can do us harm. I don't like guns. Big whoop.
Our nation is hyper-violent. We sell it like a good. That a portion of our society has been so left behind by the gravy train enjoyed by others and left behind due to a sht-ton of factors that they turn to the drug trade or the arms trade, or prostitution.
That there ARE institutional causes of such behaviour within some sub-groups is a fact, not an excuse. America could do SO MUCH better at so many things, it is disappointing that we don't.,
