or they are solving a problem (which others have) of which they are aware, and the people with a problem have the demand. Do you think Edison had no idea anyone would want a electric lights? Did Salk have no idea anyone would want a polio vaccine? This list is endless. Inventors are 99.7% of the time solving known, practical problems. That is demand.

What I am presenting is actually the usual pattern of invention, and its assessment is part of the funding process, whether you like it or not.
